If you get more sun and have plenty of vitamin D (the sunshine vitamin) in your body, you’ll find it easier to lose weight, according to research at the University of Minnesota.
When researchers looked at more than 3 dozen dieters who were trying to take inches off their waistline, they found that those with more vitamin D in their blood lost more weight on a restricted calorie diet.
"Our results suggest the possibility that the addition of vitamin D to a reduced-calorie diet will lead to better weight loss," says researcher Shalamar Sibley, MD, MPH.
So if you want to melt the pounds, catch some rays!
