
Wine enthusiasts take note: for the first time, nearly all of Arizona's top wine growers will gather to showcase their finest wines. The event: the Arizona Wine Growers Festival at the Farm. It is billed as "an interactive event where guests will learn about Arizona wine production, walk through exhibits of the state's wine growing regions, taste dozens of wines and ultimately vote for their favorite vino!"
It takes place November 22, 2009 on the grassy, 12-acre lawns of the historic Farm at South Mountain in Phoenix. The exclusive event will set you back $65 for the daytime events and an additional $125 for the dinner. Tickets are available at azwinefestivalatthefarm.com. From 1:00pm to 5:00pm, general admission ticket holders can partake in:
• Interactive, walk-though exhibits
• Live, educational seminars (wine tasting 101, food & wine pairing, etc)
• Wine tasting with dozens of Arizona wineries
• Participation in Arizona's "People's Choice Awards"
• Enjoy live music by local musicians
• Professional tasting award ceremony
At 5:00pm, exclusive award dinner ticket holders, separately priced from the general admission, will be treated to celebratory reception and multi-course wine dinner at Quiessence Restaurant at the Farm. Dinner will feature Quiessence's award-winning seasonal cuisine paired with the wines highlighted in the professional tasting of the festival.
Note: NO children will be allowed at the event under any circumstances. Ticket purchasers and all guests must be 21 or over.
