It's easy to see why Icon's Rockets Dead Glare made it on the list.

Comfort, style, safety and color are just some of the points to consider when buying a helmet. But what if you want to stand out in a sea of helmeted riders? We went looking for the wildest sport bike helmets we could find, and here are our top five (in no particular order).

The HJC FS-15 Terror has a white background, but it’s barely visible thanks to the gold and black skull graphics. If you want a helmet that screams “don’t mess with me,” then this might be it. Creating a little terror will cost you $269.99.

They might be based in Suwanee, just outside of Atlanta, but Wiki Designs brings some Hawaiian surfer style to their Wave-100 helmet. The Aloha Graphic has an all-over tropical print and a slithering gecko on each side. The best part? The face shield is photochromatic, so it automatically darkens in the sunshine. The Wave-100 retails for $299.95.

Akuma Helmets burst onto the scene three years ago with military tribute helmets, but this Doragon lid is one of the craziest designs to come out of their Texas headquarters. Japanese for “dragon,” the Doragon features a red dragon on the left and a blue dragon on the right. An integrated power system fuels blue LEDs in the rear vents and a bright light up front. It retails for $325.

Icon’s Alliance SSR Rockets Dead Glare is a sequel. Yes, you read that right: the intergalactic battle depicted on this helmet is a sequel to the equally-wild Death From Above model. You can bring home a battle of epic proportions for $170.

We’ve all seen styles that were inspired by hot rods, but Arai takes that theme to new heights with the Hot Rod model of the Profile helmet. This $629.95 “hot rod” has graphics that include headlights and taillights.
