We caught our first glimpse of Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" last month through a series of character photographs that ranged from the beautiful to the bizarre. Yesterday, the teaser-trailer was leaked online 24 hours before its scheduled release.

Disney scrambled to yank the video from YouTube and other video sites, which makes you wonder if the whole mess wasn't staged in the first place -- as soon as news of the leaked trailer started spreading, the words "Alice in Wonderland" became a hot trending topic on Twitter (which we all know is today's social barometer) and the contraband trailer started popping up on blogs all over the web.

Tim Burton and some of his "Alice in Wonderland" cast (including surprise attendee Johnny Depp, who plays the Mad Hatter) are at Comic-Con today promoting the film and no doubt showing the trailer. As you can see in the video below, the teaser-trailer appears to possess Burton's trademark gothic sensibility and penchant for vivid, almost garish colors. The trailer, narrated by Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, shows all of the major players, including Alice (Mia Wasikowska), The Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter), The White Queen (Anne Hathaway), and of course Johnny Depp as the freakish Mad Hatter. The film is scheduled to be released in both theaters and in IMAX on March 5, 2010.

Check out the trailer and let me know your thoughts on the trailer in the comments!
