10 tips for choosing an ad agency--part 3
Here are 2 more tips on our way to 10 for picking the perfect marketing agency for you. Here are tips 6 and 7.
6. Who is on the Front Lines? You should expect a line of communications with a competent account manager, and possibly even agency leadership. Before you sign, be confident that your day-to-day point of contact “gets it” and can handle what you throw at them. Any inclinations otherwise too often prove true. Make sure your points of contact have a rapport with the ageny account manager they will be working with regulary. Relationships matter.
But keep the size of your account in perspective. The agency is a business and can’t be 100% responsive 100% of the time with each client.
7. Check the References. Talk to prospective agencies' references. If this is a serious spend for you and you want to ensure a thorough evaluation, ask around to find out more about their reputation. What is said about them? How are they regarded by your peers? In many ways, this can be even more telling than their references. This will help round out the picture of the agency.
