Trio DePaz at Jazz Alley

By Loma Gregg, June 2009

A combination of English and Spanish, the Acoustical Trio DePaz derives its name from “El Trío de Paz” which translates as “The Peace Trio.”  These  are three very talented individuals, Grace Lyden (piano), Hannah Mayer (cello), and Luke Witchger (violin) formed the trio in August of 2007.

The artists were engaging as they told stories about the songs origins.

We found the atmosphere and the music to be very sexy. Dim lights, candles, long curtains and the tiered  seating make every seat in the house a perfect choice.

We enjoyed a fabulous platter of prosciutto, buffalo mozzarella, exotic olives, blue cheese and grilled pappers – all for just $13.
We were served an excellent Manhattan and a good house Chardonnay. The service was attentive but not disruptive. They also have free parking just outside the entrance, across the alley.
