Solo Lady Killer with lead singer Randy Sage and band members Sean Hudson, Eric Ritts & Bryan Dehart played their acoustic & alternative rock genre at the JBay Bar & Grill in Kirkland's Juanita area this last Wednesday evening.  The JBay, having the look and feel of a comfortable neighborhood bar where everyone knows one another,  was about half full including the large outdoor patio when the band began to play around 8:00 PM. Randy, a talented up and coming new artist began with a softer ballad that truly showcased his vocals. From the crowd's response, they agreed.

The second song however was overtaken by the lead guitar, as was the 3rd. At first I thought it may have been the sound system but it appeared to be more the style of the lead guitar that overpowered Randy, the bass and the drums.  This writer is not fan of the evenings' screaming high pitched guitar style and feels that if the band can balance this to showcase Randy's amazing voice, they'll have something worth really writing about.
