As part of a short West Coast tour showcasing Bucky's effortless acoustical guitar style and Benny Green's flying fingers on the piano, the duo played many recognizable tunes - some of which the names this writer and her mother debated. Recognizable, yet with their own quality jazz twist. The show started as if it were a Benny Green concert and then focused more on Bucky's talent. Both equally enjoyable and both equally enjoying themselves on stage.

Their first live recorded CD was late in arriving and we weren't able to purchase at the event. For us die hard fans, perhaps Bucky & Benny will make it available on line. If I hear of where, I'll let you know.

Mom hummed through her curried lamb as we sat on the upper balcony ~ and I have to say, my new favorite seating. Although not as intimate as the lower booths, the balcony seating arrangement gave us 'better than front row visuals' of both musicians.

And thank you Jazz Alley, for having the free parking just adjacent to the entrance!
