the ART drive
the ART drive, with thirty artists and crafts people participating as an open studio weekend, will take place on August 15 and 16 from 10 am to 5 pm in Dartmouth and Westport MA.
There will be a preview exhibit of the artists’ works on display at The Russell Gallery at Westport Rivers Vineyard & Winery, from August 7 - 17, 2009. Special demonstrations will be scheduled at several of the locations. Participating artists will donate a percentage of their sales to The Lloyd Center for the Environment.
Artists mediums in the ART drive include painters, ceramic artists, photographers, jewelers, woodworkers and more.
"the ART drive uniquely puts emphasis on a consistent and high level of professionalism and quality in some very unusual and dramatic studio settings, spotted among the area’s villages, lovely farm lands, and seacoast. Artists will explain the process of making their art and their works will be available for sale."
