Finding God: A Visual Journey from Grief to Hope, quilts and poetry by Monique Cerundolo, will be on exhibit at the Burns Library, located in the Chestnut Hill Campus of Boston College, from July 6-28, 2009.
Monique states, “We all experience the pain of losses and the deep emotions that surround them. In my ministry with hospice I have seen patients find meaning in the midst of suffering. This quilt and poetry series is part of my Boston College Master Synthesis in Pastoral Ministry. The series explores the stages of grief as described by Kübler-Ross (denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance). This project will be an educational tool for hospices, Church bereavement meetings and Retreats on Grief.”
A presentation will open this exhibit to the Boston College community at large and to the public on Monday, July 6, 2009 at 2:30pm-4pm.
The exhibit will remain open for a self-guided tour from Tuesday July 7 to Friday July 17, 2009 from 9am - 5pm (except for Friday July 10th when it will only be open from 9am to 2pm), or by appointment.
Monique Cerundolo will be available to answer questions each day from 2:15pm-3:15pm.
Monique has been creating pictorial quilts for the past 20 years, and has shown her work in local, regional, and national quilt shows such as A Quilters Gathering, Rising Star Quilters, National Quilting Association, and the Vermont Quilt Festival.
