What you will need:

You can find all of this stuff at your local Kroger, Publix, CVS, Ingles, Walmart, Target, or Aldi's. Combined, the total cost should be way under $15, and that is if you buy name brand products.

Bubble solution:

  • 1 gallon plastic milk jug that is already cleaned
  • 1 cup no tears baby shampoo
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 3 cups of water
  • Food coloring (optional)

Bubble wand:

  • Wire, pliable coat hangers (adult and toddler sizes)

Bubble tray:

  • Big pots and pans

What to do and what it does:
Prepare the bubble solution using the gallon plastic milk jug for storage. Then pour the solution into a big pot. I like to use pots that you would normally boil spaghetti noodles in. Bend the wire hangers so that you can use them to dip them into the solution. Then let your kid go wild and have fun! This is a stimulating and fun activity. It is visually stimulating and encourages visual tracking. It also encourages tactile input by touching the bubbles and leaving a little bit of a stick sensation. Have your kids help with preparing the bubble solution! Make them measure the water, corn syrup, and shampoo. Have them clean out the milk jug. Today is only a code yellow air quality day in Atlanta according to Air Now, so go out and have fun with this! Remember to adjust this activity according to your child’s ability. All kids love bubbles!
