A non-profit group, which provides high-quality, affordable, education trips for adults 55 and older – traveling with Elderhostel is a fun and exciting way to share new ideas with new friends in places you've never been before. Included are accommodations, meals, instruction and field trips and prices start at around $500 for up to six-night programs in the continental
Elderhostel is for fun-loving people with a passion for learning. Some examples of the adventures offered include searching for gold in the Yukon; checking out the Metropolitan Museum; getting a firsthand look at the battlefields at Gettysburg or, enjoying taking the controls of a space shuttle simulator. Overseas you can study Shakespeare, unlock the mysteries of the Dead Sea Scrolls, create your masterpiece by a waterfall somewhere in the world or work on your appreciation of jazz or opera.
In the past year over 200,000 people have taken part in the Elderhostel programs from couples to groups to solo travelers looking to make friends and have a good time.
