Now most of you know that wiki is a great site for lots of great information; so good that many are using this site before they use the any of the encyclopedia sites. But did you know that you can be featured on wikipedia. You can become an entry on one of the most visited sites websites ever. Here’s how - find a computer literate friend and have them (wiki thinks its tacky if you do this yourself) enter your information. Include photos, documents, and video. Include your wiki page on your resume, on your facebook page, and in your interview conversation. Marketing is only effective when you tell people who you are and what you’re about. Wikipedia serves as a testament to your ability.
Sometimes, even when it is not part of the job description, typing speed is important. To fill out an online application while in the company office, you do not want to be seen pecking away at the keys like a sickly woodpecker. Or when you have to type your sales report by the day’s end. How fast do you type? Find out with this free online typing test. It actually scores you as you are typing. Last, you can share this information and work with others in your job search network.
Last, and by no means least, why should you stand by and suffer while you wait for the golden moment when someone sees your worth and hires you. Instead, go to elance.com and hire yourself out as a expert in your field of study. This site connects those that are seeking freelancers to do specific and time sensitive tasks for them or their company with those that are seeking freelance jobs. You register and seek out the opportunities. This is not a J-O-B. In fact, you are putting out your shingles - Bob or Roberta Jones: Businessperson. You can earn a good living while seeking employment. when you do find that golden 9-5 opportunity, you might very well be too busy and too prosperous to accept. Now there is a problem you won’t mind having.
