Tim Duncan takes Roy Hibbert to school.
Ten games in the NBA last night.  See Part II of my rant here.

Spurs hold off Pacers in Indy...there are no moral victories, but putting 40 points on the Spurs in the fourth period should count for something...Tony Parker led six Spurs in double figures with 31, 5 and 10, Tim Duncan had a Duncanesque 22 and 11, and 73-year old Michael Finley erupted for 18...Dwight Gooden had a week with 17, Manu contributed 16, 7 and 7, and Matt Bonner, the young guy in San Antonio, finished with 13 and 5...Danny Granger scored 35, Jarrett Jack delivered 22, 6 and 6, and Troy Murphy had his usual 19 and 13...R Brandon Rush scored 14, and reserves Jeff Foster and T.J. Ford each scored 12...San Antonio had nine more rebounds and hit 13 more free throws than the Pacers, which spelled the difference.

Celtics work Hawks in Beantown...Atlanta is just not very good at all on the road, especially their big guys...all five Celtics starters reached double figures, led by Paul Pierce with 21, 6 and 5, and including Rondo with 20 and 6 assists, Big Baby with 19, Kendrick Perkins with 12 and 10, and RayRay with 10 points off of 12 shots...Atlanta was led by reserve Flip Murray with 21, Mike Bibby with 20 and 6 dimes, and Joe Johnson with 15 and 5 assists...Al Horford delivered 14 and 8, Josh Smith 13 and 10, but Mo Evans mailed in his game with 2 points and 3 boards in 27 starting minutes...Perkins had 7 blocked shots, flirting with a triple...Atlanta had better not buy any green bananas when the playoffs start, because they're likely to be gone before they get ripe.

Heat pin Gut-Wrenching Loss on Bobcats in Charlotte...the 'Cats are about done for this season...Snow White did it again, with 27 and 10 assists, and the Dwarfs provided enough help for the win...designated gunner Daequan Cook had 16 and 7, Michael Beasley scored 14, and Jermaine added 13 and 6...starters Haslem and Moon combined for 2 points, with Haslem taking six stitches in his hand...Moon apparently didn't have a medical excuse...Gerald Wallace led Charlotte with 21 and 8, Ray Felton contributed 16 and 10 assists, and Raja Bell scored 11 before leaving with a calf injury...Emeka Okafor had a 13 and 13 doubler, and Boris Diaw notched 13 and 7 assists...Vlad the Impaler just missed a donut, going 0-for-6 from the floor in 17 dismal minutes...Charlotte won the battle of the boards 40-29 but got outscored at the stripe 15-8.

Grizzlies deposit one in Dallas' punchbowl, hold off Mavs in Music City...Rick Carlisle seriously needs to think about listing his house...his team doesn't rebound and doesn't play defense...Rudy Gay led five Grizzlies in double figures with 27 and 10, Mike Conley had another strong outing with 25, 5 assists and no turnovers, and O.J. Mayo finished with 19 and 9 as Memphis won their third straight...Little Brother delivered 13 and 9, and reserve Marko Jaric took a night off from banging his new supermodel wife to score 10...this next part sounds so familiar...Dirk had 35 and 9, Jason Terry scored 16, and three other Mavericks had 10 apiece...Jason Kidd finished with 9, 5 and 10, and Josh Howard sat out again...Dallas has gotten older, not better, in the past two seasons...Mark Cuban must be chewing the carpet in his fabulous mansions.

Blazers punk Thunder in Okieland...it was just an old fashioned 35 point beatdown...LaMarcus Aldridge paced Portland with 35 and 18...wow...Brandon Roy had 15 and 6, and Steve Blake finished with 14 and 10 assists...The Vanilla Gorilla pulled down 11 rebounds, and Greg Oden finished with 8 and 8 despite drawing three fouls in his first three minutes in the game...settle down, big fella...Kevin Durant scored 13, Jeff Green had 12, and Shaun Livingston rose Phoenix-like from the ashes of his hideous knee injury two years ago to go 5-for-6 from the floor for 10...way to go, Shaun...the rest of the Okies were simply terrible, but the Thunder is vastly improved from where they were at the start of the season...they're going to be good next year and in the playoffs the year after that....note to Scott Brooks: try not to have too many games in which your guys get out-rebounded 57-32.
