Heat pin Gut-Wrenching Loss on Bulls in Chicago...Bulls come back on Miami but fail to close the deal late...Snow White led the Dwarfs with 24 and 7 assists, but had to hoist 23 shots to get there...R Michael Beasley came off the bench for 21 and 7, and designated gunner Daequan Cook added 14 and 5 on 4-for-6 shooting from the arc...The Player Formerly Known As The Matrix had 12 and 7, including the game-winning jam with a second left, and Udonis added 10 and 7 for the Heat...Ben Gordon had it going on, with 34 and 5, and R Derrick Rose aided and abetted with 18, 4 and 6...Tyrus Thomas went for 15 and 8, while Joke Him Noah managed 5 points on 1-for-5 shooting but pulled down 11 rebounds...Luol Deng disappeared again, with 6 points and 3 boards in 28 nomadic minutes.

Celtics come back on Mavs, deep in the heart of Texas...Boston takes the fourth quarter 30-17 to sweep the season series with Dallas...Paul Pierce (31 and 5) and Rajon Rondo (19, 15 and 14, for goodness sake!) led Boston...RayRay netted 20 points, and KG added 16 for Boston, which goes into the All-Star break with 44 wins, most in the league...Kendrick Perkins had 9 rebounds and a donut in 27 minutes, and the Boston bench produced only 13 points, with Eddie House accounting for seven...Dirk led Dallas with 37, 8 and 0--the ball stops here--and Josh Howard added 17 before fouling out...Antoine Wright was the sole other Maverick in double figures with 10...Jason Kidd's line was 3, 6 and 10, going 1-for-8 from the floor, and Erick Dampier managed four points...Rondo must make Jason Kidd feel old, old, old...Devean George had two steals and a donut in 10 unhelpful minutes off the bench...it's hard to believe that Dallas is 10 games over .500 when they play like this.

Golden State thwarts Blazers' comeback in fourth, holds on to win in Oakland...Warriors go 8-for-8 from the stripe in the final 23 seconds to hold off Portland...Golden State put five players in double figures, led by Maggette with 24 and 5, Captain Jack with 20, 4 and 6, and Monta Ellis with 20...Jamal Crawford managed 12 points on 2-for-9 shooting, and Ronny Turiaf had his annual double double with 14 and 11...Anthony Randolph came off the bench to contribute 9 and 10...Brandon Roy led only three Blazers in double figures with 37 points...LaMarcus Aldridge went for 20, and Sergio Rodriguez added 10, 4 and 7...Oden had 8 points and 11 boards, but took only five shots, and inexplicable starter Nicolas Batum, who must have incriminating photos of Nate McMillan, had another donut in 14 minutes...both teams violated Allen's Deviant Hoops Theorem, but Portland was -7, while the Warriors were only -1...more turnovers than assists almost always equals a loss...the Warriors went 39-for-43 from the stripe while Portland was 14-of-17...McMillan had nothing to say after the game about the 32-18 disparity in fouls called.
