Bobcats claw Clippers in Carolina...NKT Vlad the Impaler, playing without the benefit of his first practice, hit 3-of-5 from the arc in the fourth quarter to save a home win for the Polecats...Okafor had a major 19 and 16 doubler, and R D.J. Augustin followed up his career high on Saturday with a 17, 4 and 3 outing...Raymond Felton notched 15 points, 8 assists and 6 turnovers, and Diaw recorded 15 points and 9 dimes...Here Comes Trouble, who I left off my fantasy roster this week, led Los Angeles with 20 and 10, while Al Thornton, who I put on it, managed 6 points and 2 rebounds in 29 pitiful minutes...Camby contributed 8 and 11, Eric Gordon scored 17, Steve Novak came off the bench for 13, and that was that...Thornton, Camby and the Davises combined to go 8-for-34 from the floor...call it "the last game of a long road trip" blues.

Sixers spank Suns in Philly...Marreese "Call Me Maurice" Speights came off the bench to wow the crowd with 24 and 7, and Thaddeus Young went for 25 and 5 as Philly cruised...Iggy had a 22, 5 and 7 night, while Andre Miller had a very Jason Kidd-like triple single with 7, 9 and 6...Dalembert pulled down 11 rebounds, Sweet Lou netted 11, and that was plenty...the Suns, blaming a back-to-back on the road, got 19 and 6 from "Stat" and 16 points from J Rich, but no one else distinguished themselves...Steve Nash scored 2 points on 1-for-8 shooting and recorded 8 assists, and Shaq, another slacker on my fantasy team this week, had 7 points and 10 boards...my fantasy roster is producing as if I'd chosen it by throwing darts at the box scores.
Grizzlies pull away from short-handed Hornets in Music City...missing Chris Paul and Tyson Chandler to injuries and David West to suspension, the Hornets could not keep up with the suddenly respectable Griz...Memphis decided to rebound in this game, literally, and out-boarded New Orleans 64-38...Juice exploded for 22 points and 16 boards, Hakim Warrick started in place of the injured Rudy Gay and had a 15 and 14 doubler, and Little Brother notched a 10 and 10 doubler, too...Mike Conley, playing well for new Coach Hollins, had 18, 4 and 8 with 4 turnovers...the Hornets put only three players in double figures, with Peja going for 23 and 7 on 7-for-22 shooting, while Antonio Daniels and James Posey managed 11 points each...Ryan Bowen had a donut in 16 minutes, and Casual Rasual scored 8 points on 3-for-17 throwing shooting...New Orleans shot 30% for the game, making Memphis' 36% look sharp...the Grizzlies won despite verging on a violation of Allen's Deviant Hoops Theorem, recording 18 assists and 18 turnovers.
Bucks work Rockets in Beertown...Milwaukee had five players in double figures, with four of them going over 20 points...new star/starter Ramon Sessions led with 26, 4 and 7, on the heels of his 44 point outburst on Saturday night...Underachiever and Frequently each scored 25 points, and even Charlie Bell, hitting his first seven shots, recorded 21 points...NKT Keith Bogans, obtained from Orlando in the Tyronn Lue trade, managed 13 points on 4-for-8 shooting in his first appearance as a Buck...starters Francisco Elson and Luc Richard Whatever had donuts in 46 combined minutes...amazing...Luis Scola represented the Houston starters with 20 points, but the other four totaled 22 points--Yao had 7, Battier and T-Mac 3 each and Alston 9...the reserves thus had plenty of opportunities...Aaron Brooks scored 23, RonRon had 20, and my boy Carl Landry notched 16 points and 7 boards...another case of the "last game of a long road trip" blues for the Rockets...Houston shot better from beyond the arc (46%) than from inside it (40%)...Milwaukee shot 53% for the game, including 10-of-20 from long distance...when ya hot ya hot.
