Pacers beat Hawks at Conseco and look good doing it...Granger leads six Indiana players in double figures with 34, 4 and 3 along with 2 steals and 3 blocks...Rasho was wide awake all night, sporting a line of 21, 7, 5, 2 and 3...Murphy collected 19 boards to go with his 10 points.  Heck, the whole team played well...meanwhile, Joe Johnson led a "same old Hawks" effort with 25 and 7...my boy Al Horford left early with a sprained ankle, the result of my having put him on my fantasy roster on Sunday...:-(...the Pacers won all four quarters in an easy outing.

Superman and company override Bosh's HUGE night in Orlando...Bosh busts loose with 40 and 18...other than Jermaine's modest double double, Toronto didn't have much going on...all five Orlando starters found double figures, including, amazingly, JJ Redick, who managed 10 points in 34 minutes...Nelson, Turkoglu and Rashard Lewis went for 22 points apiece...must be some kind of new team spirit club, kinda like girl soccer players who all put their hair in pigtails for a tournament...without Jose Calderon, Toronto is not very efficient in their offense.

Would somebody please send a few guards to DC?...Jamison and Butler do what they can, but Wiz fall at home to Heat...Juan Dixon and DeShawn Stevenson aren't going to scare anyone anytime soon, other than Wiz fan...meanwhile six Heat find double figures, including four guards...Wade was very okay, with 19, 6, 10, 2 and 3...Diawara exploded for 6 points and a rebound.

Mavs starting to roll, punk Bobcats in Charlotte...the Bobcats are starting to look like a bottom 5 team...their starters combined for 27 points, while Dirk poured in 32 by himself...Larry Brown thinks Sean May is out of shape...knock me over with a feather, as May records another 12 minute donut...R DJ Augustin had a nice outing, with 21, 4 and 4 off the bench...even Gerald Wallace seems to be catching Brownitis, with 8 points in 32 discouraging minutes.

Knicks succumb in Bosten to Garnett-less Celtics...New York puts six players in double figures to no avail.  20 assists and only 12 turnovers and they still lose...Wilson Chandler is a productive starter these days for the Knicks.  If you play in a salary cap league, he is going to be a rock star, since he's getting paid basically nothing...Paul Pierce leads five Celts in double figures with a ho-hum 22 and 8...Kendrick Perkins seems to be waking up from his summer slumbers, going for 16 and 8 in 27 minutes.  That's more like it.  Not great, but not Michael Olowakandi, either.

Lebron gives metro New York a glimpse of what could be theirs in 2010 as Cavs slap Nets...31, 8 and 4 in 36 minutes, making it look easy...solid support from Z-Man, Delonte West and Mo Money...Devin Harris leads four Nets in double figures, but New Jersey gets held to 30 points in the second half...Brook Lopez is getting better every week, going for a nice 15 and 13 double double as a starter...the two starting forwards, Bobby Simmons and Yi Jianlian are, as my dad used to say, from hunger.

Griz feast on hapless Kings in Memphis...Rudy Gay and Hakim Warrick lead the way with 22 and 21 respectively; Memphis outboards Kings 46-33...five Kings found double figures, but Sad-ramento trailed by 17 at the half...your boy Spencer Hawes was 7-for-7 from the floor...some nights chicken, some nights feathers.
