Poor little gas mask man...We'll miss you Pandemic.

Bummer. It seems that EA has decided to shutter Pandemic Studios, creators of the Mercenaries and Star Wars: Battlefront series' and the upcoming Saboteur. Laying off roughly 200 employees including former CEO Andrew Goldman, former president Josh Resnick and former vice president Greg Borrud.

EA commented that the brands will live on, moving a "core IP team" to EA Los Angeles. They've also stated that in the coming months they will announce new games based on Pandemic IPs. Thankfully this doesn't change the upcoming Pandemic release Saboteur, which as near as I've been told is still on track for it's December release.

I wish you all the best in your upcoming job persuits. If it's any consolation, I hear Gearbox would love to have you.
