There are a lot of questions around drinking water. Which is the best type of bottled water? Purified, distilled, or spring? Will tap water harm me? How much water should be consumed and does it really matter if I drink bottled water?
Drinking water is very important for your health. Your body is made of approximately 55%-75% water depending on your size and age. All of the natural chemical reactions that take place in the body must happen in a water based solution in order to function properly. The human body can survive weeks without adequate food but only a matter of days without water. This should let you know how important it is.
Drinkning bottled water is not always the best water to consume and there are advantages and disadvantages. Also, depending on the municipality where you live the tap water may not be the cleanest. You may remember a few years ago when Coca-Cola admitted to selling tap water as Dasani bottled water.
Most people avoid tap water because of the taste of minerals and chlorine that comes from the cleansing process. Most people still use tap water for making ice, cleaning food during preparation and bathe themselves without a second thought. They just don't want to drink it.
The FDA regulates and defines the different classifications of bottled water. The problem with drinking bottled spring water is the "natural spring" can be found next to a garbage waste dump and still qualify to meet the FDA regulations. Your best bet is to drink purified or distilled water from a glass container.
