Representative Michelle Bachman

The Democrats, lead by Nancy Pelosi in the House of Representatives, gave America the proverbial finger late on Friday by passing the "American Clean Energy And Security Act of 2009". Also known as the “Cap-and-Trade bill, the Democrats have voted to destroy the United States economy unilaterally while ushering in a new era and level of tyranny.

The vote was 219 to 212 with 8 Republicans crossing over. This bill will enable the Federal Government to control more and more of our lives by overriding local zoning laws, usurping States rights, shredding the Constitution, requiring all States to use California building codes and standards, costing trillions, and result in millions of job losses per year while at the same time preventing the sale of your private home unless it receives a Federally mandated and unfunded “energy rating”.

Meanwhile, the in-the-tank for Obama media is silent and purposefully quiet on the issue.  Instead of calling out the Democrat parties betrail of our Nation, they're hell bent on refocussing the general public’s attention on Michael Jackson’s death.

All for what? Oh yes, the false science and unproven global warming mantra spread far and wide by none other than the mastermind himself, Al Gore and the Eco-Terrorist crowd.  Worse, the nearly 1000 page bill, amended at 3:09AM with another 300 pages, wasn't even read by one member of Congress!  This bill isn't mainstream, it's environmental extremism at its best, and Janet Napolitano wants to call me an “extremist”?

By the way, every single Massachusetts Congressman voted in favor of this abomination. Call them and tell them you’ll remember that in the coming elections.  If the Unions don't get it now, they never will.  Your party, the supposed party of the people, voted to drastically increase your energy costs while shipping millions of jobs overseas!  Do you get it now?

Speaking of Massachusetts, things continue to get worse every day. This time, a story in the Patriot Ledger about 36 year old Derek M. Lindsay who’s been arraigned only 144 times for various crimes and yet he’s still running lose on our streets.  Yet, if Govenor Deval Patrick had his way, they'd all be out on parole preying upon the citizens of the Commonwealth. Now that’s real progressive public safety policy, don’t you think?

Instead of taking these misfits off the street in a timely fashion… on July 14, 2009 a hearing in front of the Joint Committee of the Judiciary will take place concerning the Governors’ push (H.4102 An Act to Reduce Firearm Violence) for “One-gun-a-month”, ending private firearms sales (your private property) and other changes to Massachusetts guns laws will take place.

Since, I last wrote about this, New Jersey has recently passed a “One-Gun-A-Month” bill when each firearm purchased in the Garden State already requires a State Police purchase permit! Expect to hear from the ring leader, Brian Miller of Cease Fire New Jersey at this hearing as he tries to push his NJ style of lunacy here in Massachusetts in support of our Governor's same twisted logic.

I’ll be there and ready for the fight to preserve our Constitutional rights. Will you?
