Locair to fly from IAD to Lake Cumberland twice weekly

 

Ft. Lauderdale-based commuter carrier Locair will add nonstop flights from Washington-Dulles to Lake Cumberland Regional Airport in Somerset, Kentucky beginning in June.

Starting June 8, Locair will offer flights from Dulles International Airport to Lake Cumberland on Monday and Friday utilizing Fairchild Metro III aircraft, with a passenger capacity of nine.

The Monday flights will leave Dulles at 9:50 a.m. and the Friday flights will depart at 8:10 p.m. Flights from Lake Cumberland to Dulles will leave Monday at 8 a.m. and Friday at 6:25 p.m. The 80-minute flights will connect the Washington area to the popular Kentucky recreational area and the nearby Daniel Boone National Forest.
