Maan News reports a non-existent Israeli plan for sharing the Temple Mount.  It states that certain days would be reserved for Jewish prayer.  The Islamic Christian Society in Support of Jerusalem called this unacceptable.

This plan was put into effect years ago in Hebron.  It worked there fairly well [except when Muslims commit violence].

The Islamic Christian Society in Support of Jerusalem did not explain its objection.  Inadvertently it reveals that the Muslims [I think that the Christians are just playing ball with the Muslims for their own survival] are not tolerant but anticipate that Israel would put in a plan of tolerance.

The Society warned that Israel next would change the regime at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre  (www.imra.org.il, 9/30).

If the Palestinian Authority gained control over the Territories, intolerance and religious exclusivity would be enforced.

Do you remember what happened to the two holiest Christian churches in Jerusalem and Bethlehem?  In Bethlehem, PLO terrorists fled into it, held the monks hostage, desecrated by feces Christian holy objects, stole valuables, however holy, starved the Christians and gorged themselves, and eventually left the place in a shambles.

In Jerusalem, Muslims built a mosque taller than the Christian edifice, to overawe it.  They built toilets overhanging it, by way of insult.  They broke through a wall into a couple of storerooms of the Church, and occupied them.  The PLO refused to return the rooms.  After some protest, Arafat gave made other compensation.

During my 1973 trip to Jerusalem, the guide proudly showed us how Israel helps various and competing Christian sects gain access to their holy sites.
