DID THE DEAD RETURN?
What happens when we die? Do we pass-over? Do we go to heaven or hell? Or do we simply not exist? Houdini called it the great mystery.
The setting is Halloween 2008, the THEATER OF MAGIC at the Royal Resort. Television cameras are rolling bringing this annual event for the first time to a world-wide audience. Original Houdini memorabilia is displayed and around a small table are seated five spectators chosen from the audience by famed mystifier Dixie Dooley, everything was pretty routine, up until Dixie called on the spirit of Houdini to send a message! Suddenly there was a loud pop, like a gun-shot going off right in the room! The entire room filled with curious spectators, and devoted fans of the seance were instantly cast into darkness! Could it have been a message, a sign!

Yes, it was later diagnosed as a simple power failure, but the real question is why then? At the exact moment Dixie asked Houdini to send a message!

There were many mixed feelings about what happened as the seance ended. Some wrote it off as a coincidence, others said it was a definite sign, others somehow thought the whole thing was staged!

Regardless it was all captured on video and went up on YOUTUBE, within hours for all to see and judge for themselves. The video, clearly shows the intensity of the shocking moment that left everyone, even the most skeptical speechless and hands sweating! Did Houdini manage to escape death and send a message?
Houdini never claimed he would come back from the dead, he only said if there was a way, that he would be the one who would find the key to unlock the door and escape death itself!

Dixie began conducting the official Las Vegas Houdini Seance in 1985 when he was playing the part of Houdini in a Las Vegas show called "Here's Entertainment". Dixie is also the owner of a priceless original collection of Houdini memorabilia, and a small part of the collection is displayed each year at the seance.

Over the years many curious celebrity's as well as Houdini's family members have attended the seance. The seance is held in conjunction with seances held all over the world on Halloween, the day Houdini passed from this world.

"There have been some strange occurrences at seance's past, but never, never like last year" Dooley said. "It was startling and so well timed, I can clearly understand why some thought it was staged, which it was not"! Dooley denigns! "I do a demonstration prior to the actual seance, I show how fraudulent spirit mediums of Houdini's era would trick people into believing they could communicate with the dead" Dooley said. "But in the actual seance, there are no tricks, we give Houdini the stage, if nothing happens, so be it"! "But something happened for sure, last year, maybe we got a little closer"? says Dooley..jpg)
This year the annual Las Vegas Houdini seance will again be held in the THEATER OF MAGIC at the Royal Resort, located at 99 Convention Center Drive (between the Encore and the Riviera) - Las Vegas, NV on Halloween day - October 31, 2009

There is no charge and it is a non profit event.
But due to limited seating you must R.S.V.P. Seating is on a first come first serve basis.
Seating begins at 12:15 pm and the actual event starts at 1 pm. Adults and strictly supervised children may attend.
