When it comes to enjoying a savory and inventive meal, you might be a person who has the financial means to continually dine out at some chic restaurant with a promising menu abundant with succulent dishes. But in reality, most of us are without the luxuries of frequently eating out. We’re among the populous who stops at a grocery store on the way home from a grueling workday. We pick up dinner items that are microwaveable or quick to grill, bake or boil. If time permits and creativity strikes, a growing number of us may rummage through our lacking  refrigerators and cabinets and whisk together an impromptu meal that we hope comes out loaded with mouth-watering goodness. But that’s not always the case.

We are the cook-at-home crowd. And if you classify yourself among this hopeful group of optimistic cookers, Lara Starr and Lynette Shirk have compiled an ideal cookbook for you. It’s called The Frugal Foodie Cookbook, and it’s saturated with remarkably delectable and practical dishes ranging from “bankable breakfast” items to scrumptious dinner dishes to midnight munchie treats.

Being a nation of Food Network junkies, a large number of Americans enjoy being fascinated by the culinary arts projected from our television and computer screens. Yet, many of us never attempt to actually build the needed domestic habits of cooking the dishes we see Rachel Ray, Giada de Laurentis, Paula Deen, Guy Fieri, or Bobby Flay often prepare before our eyes. We need a cookbook that’s practical. We need something easy to flip through. Something that won’t demand us to purchase high-cost grocery store goods. Or something that doesn’t require unnecessary reading. The Frugal Foodie Cookbook is our guide, one that will quickly walk any eager and frugal cook through choice dishes like Tout le Fruit Crisp, Rosemary Leek Casserole, Garlic Chicken Confit, Stuffed Pork Chops, Coffee Mug Cake, and much, much more.

It’s true, many Americans today don’t have the luxury of dining out as often as we’d like. We may not even have the financial means of stocking our refrigerators and cabinets with a stock pile of high-end or low-end goods. But with The Frugal Foodie Cookbook, we can now start cooking like we’re truly the “Next Food Network Star”.

Bon appetite!
