John Mayer’s variety show will debut on later this year, CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler announced at the network’s TCA on Wednesday.
“We’re just going to shoot the pilot… and make the decision with that,” Nina explained. “It’s a pilot special for a series.”
“We didn’t reach out to him. It was his idea,” she said. “He loves it and he’s a really funny guy. He’s really smart… [he] has a great sense of humor about himself.”
