Sacha Baron Cohen was booed at the 2009 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday after mocking Madonna’s recent divorce from British film director Guy Ritchie.
Cohen presented the Best Comedy award to Woody Allen’s Vicky Christina Barcelona at last night’s event in Beverly Hills.
Cohen was not warmly received after his poke at Madonna:
“Madonna has had to get rid of one of her personal assistants. Our heart goes out to you, Guy Ritchie.”
Not funny, or just a tough crowd?
