Elvis Presley's hair from 1958 haircut to be auctioned; King of Rock's grandson gets record deal

Chicago auction firm Leslie Hindman Auctioneers are set to sell a bit of the legendary King of Rock & Roll's hair, Elvis Presley.

 

The hair was obtained in 1958 when Elvis cut his hair and joined the army. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, a close friend to Elvis, Gary Pepper kept the hair all these years.

 

The auction will take place on October 18, and the hair is set to go for around $12,000.

 

In other Presley related news, the grandson of the great Elvis, Ben Presley (Lisa Marie's son with Danny Keough), has landed a $5 million dollar record deal with Universal to make up to 5 records.  In an interview with the UK's Telegraph Presley says that his: "Music will be nothing like Elvis, nothing like him at all."
