Brushetta is a super easy and delicious appetizer to serve at your party. Unfortunately, it tends to be quiete expensive.

In the past, I told you how to save money by making hummus at home. Here's a similar idea when it comes to brusetta.

Ingredients

28 ounce can of diced tomatoes, drained (of course you can also use fresh tomatoes from your garden)

2 tablespoons diced red onion

3 tablespoons chopped cilantro

salt & pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

 Directions

1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl.

2. Serve brushetta on crackers or toasted French bread.

Variations: feel free to add other fresh herbs, finely chopped chile peppers and serve this as a salsa.
