Can't bear to face another Thanksgiving packed into a crowded house full of boisterous relatives? Why not hit the slopes instead? (You can bring the family with you.)
Thanks to some early snowfall, Aspen’s famous ski slopes will be open for business this Thanksgiving, and the luxurious Hotel Jerome, nestled right in the heart of the festive mountain town, is offering a special Thanksgiving package that guests won’t soon forget.
To commemorate the hotel’s 120th anniversary, the Jerome is throwing an imaginative birthday bash on November 25th. Recreating the atmosphere and festivity of the hotel’s original opening night party on November 25, 1889, the celebration's goal will be to transport guests back in time. Partygoers will be escorted to the hotel via horse-drawn carriage, and the evening’s main affair will include live entertainment, ballroom dancing, authentic old-fashioned cocktails, a live luxury auction and a gourmet dinner. (Guests are encouraged to attend in 1889-themed costume, of course.)
Sound interesting? The Jerome’s “120th Anniversary Celebration” package is available November 25th – November 29th and includes a four-night stay in a junior suite; two full-day ski lift tickets for two people; two tickets to Hotel Jerome’s 120th Anniversary grand soiree; Thanksgiving dinner for two; and a 50-minute massage per person at the Aspen Club and Spa.
The rate is $1,889, based on double occupancy (representing 50 percent off regular room rates), and a four-night stay is required.
