Bill Roggio at Long War Journal has a nice overview on some of the intertribal relations of the Taliban and how that plays out for Pakistan and the war in Afghanistan.
Michael Yon has begun a tour of Afghanistan. His photo essays that accompany his stories are compelling. He knowns how to capture the feel of the place. One of his photos has become a classic and has been repeatedly lifted by the mainstream media and even Michael Moore has ripped it off.

The Military Times has a staff reporter blogging from Afghanistan. I hadn't seen this before but at a glimpse it looks interesting.
