An email from a reader this morning:

I would love to know if you come across the name HAMILTON in any of this, I will keep checking back. A brother of my ancestor Joseph Boyd Hamilton lists his birth place as "Rail Cross Roads" in his Civil War paperwork-- it took me awhile to find out where the heck he was talking about. The others in the family list their birthplace as "Georgetown" which I gather was very near to Rayls Crossroads. I am going to send your message to the rootsweb board, because the researcher there interested in Rayl is the one who alerted me to what the "town"? really was.

I have photographed the last names that begin with R and H on the scrolls.  If any readers want more info please let me know.  These scrolls must contain the history of everyone who attended school at Rayls Crossroads.

For more information on these scrolls click here.
