Disney Institute program coming to Pittsburgh business community June 3
Pitt's Business Center for Executive Education of the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business is bringing the “Disney Institute's” traveling professional development program, the Disney Keys to Excellence, to Pittsburgh on June 3.
Wikipedia ranks Pittsburgh as 8th in the nation for the number of Fortune 500 companies headquartered here. But there was a time, when the air was much smokier in the Burg and the city was nick-named the Fortune 500 Capital of the World.
The University of Pittsburgh established its Graduate School of Business in 1960 and began offering the nation's first one-year Master of Business Administration program. Dedicated and renamed in 1987, owing to the generosity of entrepreneur Joseph M. Katz, the school is recognized as a leader in education and research.
The Disney Institute’s program is an opportunity to learn best business practices from “Disney” insiders and discover ways to adapt and apply those best practices during these slow economic times.
The Pittsburgh Disney Keys program will showcase four 90-minute sessions including:
o Discovering how effective leadership has been the catalyst at Disney to drive employee/customer satisfaction and bottom-line results;
o Examining the importance of integrating an organization's corporate culture into selection, training, and care of employees;
o Exploring renowned Disney principles for service excellence; and
o Learning the key practices in building and sustaining loyalty that have made Disney a trusted brand around the world for more than 75 years.
Registration and fees for the program are $395 per person and include course materials and a full day of catered meals and beverages. Group discounts are available. No prerequisite training is required.
