Well, you’ve made it to the end of the year, and if you’re like most people, you may still be figuring out your plans to ring in the New Year. There are always the classic options, bar hopping in Lincoln Park, catching a live show, or spending it at a house party with friends. There’s never a shortage of options in our great (and wintry) city.

 

If you’re still undecided, why not check out one of these NYE events which are donating a portion of proceeds to a charitable cause!

Guests enjoy previous Eve of Eve party

Eve of the Eve Classic

When: December 30 : 7 p.m. - 12 a.m.
Where: Santa Fe Building (224 S. Michigan)
Price: $140. Tickets: highsight.org

Includes an open bar, light dinner, a silent auction and live music. Dress is black tie optional. Ticket price also includes admission to the Eve of the Eve party at Union Station. Includes trolley transportation between locations.

Eve of the Eve Party

When: December 30 : 8 p.m. - 1 a.m.
Where: Union Station (210 S. Canal)
Price: $125. Tickets: highsight.org

More than 2,000 guests attend this annual event and will be treated to an open bar, appetizers, live music and a silent auction.

Benefits: Highsight - A nonprofit organization that provides scholarships, tutoring, mentoring, leadership development and college readiness programs for students to attend and succeed at private high schools in Chicago

 


Navy Pier Fireworks

Like to live your live on a grand scale?

2008 New Year’s Eve Gala at Navy Pier

When: 9 p.m. - 2 a.m.
Where: Navy Pier Grand Ballroom (600 E. Grand)

You will be treated to a premium open bar, appetizers, a champagne toast, party favors, DJs, a balloon drop, giveaways, raffles and a view of the Navy Pier fireworks. The event will be hosted by DJ Ty Bentli of WKSC 103.5-FM.

Benefits: Metropolitan Family Services - An organization dedicated to strengthening families through a comprehensive range of programs and services that help families through difficult times

Prefer to combine your champagne with the latest fashions?

Organized Chaos

When: 9 p.m. - 1 a.m.
Where: Little Black Pearl Design Center (1060 E. 47th St)
Price: $65 General Admission, $100 VIP. Tickets: organizedchaos.eventbrite.com

Guests will be treated to a runway show featuring designs from Horacio Nieto, Arlo Menswear, and others, along with champagne, hors d'oeuvres, and a live performance from hip-hop violinist, Jason Vinluan.

Benefits: Art for Refugees in Transition - An organization which provides curriculum and training programs in the creative arts to children and adults in refugee communities

When: 9 p.m. - 3 a.m.
Where: Envent Social Club (344 N. Odgen)

Party guests will be treated to the sounds of three top DJs: Mick Boogie, Timbuck2, and Million $ Mano. Admission also includes complimentary drinks all night, catering by Chef Lovely, prom pictures, and a secret midnight musical performance.

Benefits: Best Buddies Illinois - An organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships and integrated employment

 
I'm definitely in the undecided camp when it comes to my specific plans, but hopefully I'll work it out this weekend! Regardless of how you choose to spend your NYE, remember to be safe and have fun!!!
