Over on io9.com, writer Alexis Brown has touched on something that gets tossed around every so often. Why is it that over the years the fashion world has had mad love for the world of SciFi but the inverse has never really come about?

Think about it for a second here: Blade Runner, Star Wars, Battlestar Gallactica, Mad Max have all crossed over and made their way down the runway. However, especially as of late, science fiction films have been seriously lacking in the costume department. Hollywood could use some more Fifth Element-esque Jean-Paul Gaultier and Mad Max-ish Norma Moriceau.

When you're done thinking about it, go over to io9.com and see what Alexis has to say about this subject.
