The Nook from Barnes & Nobles
Coming December 11th!
Barnes & Nobles will be releasing the Nook , a new eBook reader that provides an easy-to-read E Ink® display, which gives it a more traditional book like feel than a computer screen. The Nook has a no glare screen with an adjustable text size feature. With 2GB of memory, the Nook can store up to 1,500 books, newspapers and magazines. If you require more space, simply add a memory card to expand your storage up to 17,500 titles, including pictures, music, and PDF files. You can actually fit your entire library of books into a light portable hand held gadget that you can take with you everywhere.
So, as a knitter you're asking what does this have to do with knitting. It's simple. You can download availale knitting books, PDF file patterns and knitting related fiction, as well as all your favorite music that you enjoy listening to as you knit. As a designer, this eBook's feature of downloading photos and PDF files allows you to display your latest designs and photos to show to interested parties. As a knitter, you will not take up shelf space for printed patterns, books, etc. and you will save tons of room on your home PC by storing your photos and projects on this handy tool. You can also use the Nook, which hold approximately 26 hours of audio, as an MP3 player to listen to all your favorite audio books and podcasts.
