It is summertime and macrame is all the rage for its resiliency in water and fun summer feeling that can be styled with beads.
Materials:
Step #1
To get the correct length of twine it needs to measure from middle finger tip to the middle finger tip on your other hand, do this twice for two separate strings.
Step #2
Loop one piece of twine through the clasp loop in the center. Tie the second string in a knot around the base, please get it centered to create four strings at roughly the same size, do not worry if its not exact and please do not cut to make them equal until the very end of the project.
Step #3
Color the tips of the two outside strings. Make the color differences distinguishable, no really, this is important later.
Step #4
Take the string to the far left (from now on this will be called the red string) and put it underneath the two middle strings and over the far right string (from now this will be called the black string).
Step #5
Take the black string and put it through the loop you created on the left hand side. Pull until snug - not too tight otherwise you will distort the shape.
Step #6
Take the red string (which should now be on the right side) and pull underneath the two middle ones and over the black one.
Step #7
Take the black string and put it through the loop you created on right hand side. Pull until snug - not too tight though.
Step #8
Keep making the knots from steps 4-7 leading with the red string until its at the desired length for the first bead.
Step #9
When you are ready for your first bead, if the hole of the bead is large enough string the bead on both middle pieces of twine, if not do not worry, just put it through one and let the spare piece fall behind the bead.
Step #10
After the bead is in place continue knotting as normal until you either want to add another bead or have finished the choker.
Step #11
When it has reached the desired length knot the inside strings and then knot the outside two strings.
Step #12
Loop two of the strands through one side of the clasp ring and then loop the other two through the other side, then knot.
