This is a sequel to Healing Stones, but can be read as a stand alone novel.

It is one of those books that draws you in and holds on. It is rich and full and satisfying. The characters are real and complex. The plot is interesting and engaging. The writing is perfect.

It is the story of Lucia. She struggles with self-image and self worth. She is overweight and uses food to deal with the pain of life. The mindset of one who struggles with eating is captured very well.

Lucia endures a family tragedy that challenges her and makes her look at herself and her motives in a new light. She does this with the help of Christian therapist Sullivan Crisp.

Sully is working through his own pain and looking for answers to questions he can barely stand to ask.

This book takes a hard look at faith and what to do with suffering. It delves into the way we view ourselves and the things we take responsibility for.

We don't have to have all the answers. Only God does.
