Mary-Margaret wants nothing more than to become a religious sister. She grew up in a convent and knows that a life lived unto Jesus alone is the life for her. Her love for Jesus is passionate and consuming and Jesus reveals Himself to her in ways few people experience. But love plays out in ways she didn't expect. Her life, past and future, unfold in ways she didn't imagine.

As an aging sister she writes her memoirs as ordered, hoping that future sisters will benefit from her story. As Mary-Margaret thinks of something, she writes it. She may begin with telling about what happened that morning in the garden, then move on to something that happened when she was fourteen. But once you are accustomed to the way the time line works, you will find the story unfolds beautifully.

Jude is a boy who lives near the convent. He is worldly and dangerous, and becomes her friend. She feels tingly inside sometimes when he's around. As their lives intersect and separate, like a large scale dance, they influence one another in deep, life altering ways.

This book is powerful and passionate, mystical and true. It is true in the sense that it tells truth, as all Christian fiction should. It tells the truth about love.

The Passion of Mary-Margaret by Lisa Samson can change how you look at your relationship with Jesus and how you look at your relationship with those He loves.
