Hyundai Motor Co. is kickin’ mucho butt sales-wise these days. Today, they reported a 48.9 percent increase in U.S. sales to 31,005 vehicles from 20,820 exactly a year ago.
The hottest sellers for the car manufacturer is the fuel-sippin’ Elantra sedan which more than tripled to 8,673 vehicles. Next, the Accent had sales that more than doubled to 4,581. The automaker’s pricier gem, the Genesis sedan sales rose 65 percent to 1,850 units. "With the recent encouraging economic news of a 3.5% GDP growth during the third quarter, the best in two years, we are looking forward to the final two months of the year," said Dave Zuchowski, Hyundai's vice president of sales.
