If you buy a Chrysler vehicle starting in December, the manufacturer will guarantee that Oprah, Jon Stewart, Bill O'Reilly or any number of other popular cable TV personalities could be passengers in the back seat of your vehicle...via TV that is.
FLO TV will be offered starting in December to Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram truck customers who would like to take some of their fave cable TV shows on the road. The 20 channel mobile TV service will feature top cable stations like MSNBC, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon. The service offers 24/7 programming that includes a variety of live, simulcast and time-shifted shows.
Have kids and don't want them sneak peeping the 'wrong shows' while you're transporting them about? The service offers parental controls that restrict programs by ratings or you can block entire channels altogether.
FLO TV costs $629 plus an installation fee. There's a one year subscription service that is also included. The company is still negotiating the subscription fee but as it stands thus far, there's speculation that packages could start as low as $9 per month.
BTW...the system would be installed in the vehicle's rear on drop-down screens and viewable only to passengers. So, if you think you'll be able to grab a few peeps here and there while you're driving--FORGETTABOUTIT!
