Today has been a rough day for the entertainment industry. Earlier today, it was reported that legendary actress Farrah Fawcett had passed away at the age of 62. The sad news continues with the passing of the 'King of Pop', Mr. Michael Jackson.

Officials responded to a 911 call from Jackson's home. Upon arrival, they found that he was not breathing. Paramedics did perform CPR on the singer before rushing him to UCLA Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 2:26p.m. Cause of death was cardiac arrest. Jackson was 50 years old.

Jackson's passing was confirmed on CNN by Lt. Fred Corral of the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's office. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.

Jackson was scheduled to start his comeback tour in July. It was supposed to run until February 2010. More than 750,000 tour tickets were sold.

Michael Jackson revolutionized the music industry, paving the way for some of the biggest pop acts in the world. Without a doubt, Jackson has left behind a legacy that will stand the test of time. He has influenced so many performers and will continue to do so for many years to come.

While some of Jackson's life was ringed in controversy, he was still loved and revered by many people from all walks of life. Instead of focusing on any negative reported aspects of his life, fans should focus on all the good he did in the world and what he brought to the music industry.

RIP Michael Jackson. You are forever in all of our hearts.
