If you live on the west coast, keep your calendar open on October 9 – 11, 2009 and register for ETA California – Education of the Textile Arts in California. This sewing education extravaganza will take place at the Renaissance Long Beach Hotel, located at 111 East Ocean Boulevard, Long Beach, California. Phone number is 562-437-5900. A special room rate is available for ETAC attendees.

This is ETA California’s fourth year and promises to be as fun and worthwhile as previous years. Some top sewing celebrities, including Peggy Sagers, Barb Callahan, Kathy Ruddy and Cynthia Guffey will be presenting all sorts of exciting demos, classes and presentations. There is a pdf version of the event brochure available on the ETAC website. Class sizes are limited and filling fast.

Check out the extensive list of classes, including Exciting Bags in a Flash, It’s Not Your Grandmother’s Lace, Win the Battle with the Boobs, and The Gap!, and pick your favorites.

A blanket-making event benefiting the Orangewood Children’s Home will take place at ETA California.
