One of my best finds this year was Rocky Mountain Organic Meats. Actually, prez and CEO Rod Morrison found me and left a comment after my piece on organic beef.  Rod's operation sits on 585,000 acres of certified organic land where he raises grassfed cattle. If cows could talk, I'm sure they'd say they were happy cows because of the treatment they receive from ranch cowhands, and from what they're not getting---a diet filled with chemicals and antibiotics. The meat these happy cows produce is tender and flavorful.

My reasons for 'going organic' are very similar to the reasons others are coming on board: We want to eat foods that are nutrient-rich, as free of toxins (chemicals, etc.) as possible, and that taste good. We also want the extra investment in buying organic foods to allow us better health.

Grassfed cattle fits the bill on all counts.
