It's probably self-evident that being a zombie sucks. At least, it sucks if you care about your appearance. So as you can imagine, those who suffered from the sin of pride are in for a world of hurt.
Tried to say "hi," but all of my earthly charm had gone. She floated by, so distracted with the sound of her own cell phone. I said "Go ahead and walk away. I have all I need." Now I speak with all the eloquence of livestock. And I've become a zombie me! -- Zombie Me (No More Kings)
Pride (Latin: superbia) involves love of self; of being concerned about more attractive or important to others. For these poor suckers, being a zombie is the most awful damnation imaginable. They are...UGLY.
Because damnation has a twisted sense of humor, pride zombies aren't just ugly, they're fugly with a capital F. Dripping, oozing, falling apart -- pride zombies are pools of filth. If these zombies followed the normal rules of physics, they wouldn't last very long because they would disintegrate very quickly with the amount of rotting going on...
But they don't, because that would let them off the hook. They ooze something constantly but it never stops. They are their own renewable organic resource. If someone ever was desperate enough to eat them, they could feed all of humanity forever.
Except of course that touching a pride zombie risks contamination, so eating them would pretty much just make more pride zombies.
