
Oh those greedy zombies. Envy zombies craved what they couldn't have, glutton zombies consumed what they did have, but greedy zombies...greedy zombies just hang onto it forever.
In life, greedy zombies (in Latin, "avarita" for avarice) encompasses all manner of theft. These sinners acquired what they wanted through ill-gotten means, and then hung onto it for dear life. Then they died and became greedy zombies.
Unlike other zombies, greedy zombies have a purpose. It's just a very sad, pathetic purpose.

Greedy zombies aren't fast or sneaky, they're actually a lot like they were in life -- repeating the same monotonous tasks over and over. In that regard, they are actually more dangerous than some of the other zombies, because they can perform the same task over and over. While other zombies will sit still or run through the streets hungering for human flesh, greedy zombies desire nothing more than to do what they did before they died. And given that most Americans spend a huge chunk of their lives at their job, this usually means going to work.
Thus, greedy zombies can actually keep a powerplant running, keep the lights turned on, and generally keep up a veneer of civilization. Because they don't wander far, greedy zombies decompose slower indoors. They basically look just like me and you, except, you know, they're dead.
