Bastille Day wining, dining and entertainment at bistros, cafes, restaurants, wine bars and markets in the greater Bay Area, continued.  Our 26 venues are mainly in San Francisco but we also give suggestions for Napa, Larkspur, Alameda, Pleasant Hill and Berkeley.


Cafe de la Presse (Grant at Bush) — special Bastille Day–inspired prix-fixe menu.

Chez Papa Resto (414 Jessie at Mint Plaza) — exotic $60.00 prix-fixe dinner menu from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. includes duck confit, grilled lamb chops and ratatouille. Check it out.

Chouchou (Dewey Boulevard at Laguna Honda) — Bastille-themed French fare and soiree.

Fringale (SOMA) — Bastille day three-course prix-fixe menu ($35).

Garcon(Mission district, San Francisco) — coq au vin, cassoulet, escargot and foie gras.

Grand Cafe (Union Square) — annual four-course prix-fixe menu ($58), complimentary cake, half price wines, live music and guest appearance by Marie Antoinette.

Left Bank (Larkspur) — special menu, music, all-day happy hour.

La Folie (Polk near Green Street) — five-course prix-fixe menu royaliste.

La Provence (Guerrero Street) hosts a No Bastille Day dinner. A feast is promised.

Nibblers Eatery & Wine Bar (Pleasant Hill) — a "fete nationale" a la carte menu of small plates from Provence with a prix-fixe option ($30 person) with optional wine pairings.

Oxbow Public Market 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. — music, dancing, games and French food.
