Great tequila cocktails will have your Halloween all wrapped up.

Tequila is usually associated with fiestas and Cinco de Mayo, not fall and Halloween, but tequila fans will insist that there is a tequila cocktail for all occasions. They're right. The Calabaza-tini mixes tequila's bite with the smoothness of pumpkin for a frighteningly good martini, while the Tequila Ghost is quick and easy with a bit of tartness.

Calabaza-tini recipe

• 1 1/2 oz. tequila (use a reposada - you won't regret it)
• 1/2 oz. pumpkin spice syrup
• 3 oz. half & half

Add all ingredients to an ice-filled shaker, and shaker briskly to combine. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Serve garnished with a dash or two of ground cinnamon.

Tequila Ghost

• 2 oz. tequila
• 1/2 oz. Sambuca (or other anise liqueur)
• 1/2 oz. lemon juice
• club soda

Combine the tequila, Sambuca and lemon juice in a shaker filled with ice, and shake well. Strain into a highball glass with fresh ice, and top off with club soda.
