Fans looking to get a Marvel and a Capcom fix in one game need look no further than Capcom's upcoming re-release of Marvel vs. Capcom 2--a frenetic 2-D fighter with an abundance of action, flashy super attacks and tag-team tactics. The game is slated for a July 29 release on the XBLA.
Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is the fourth in a series of superhero-driven fighters and was originally released for the arcade, then received ports to Dreamcast, Playstation 2 and Xbox. A robust cast of characters, which includes Jill Valentine, Wolverine, Storm, Sakura, Ryu, Chun Li, Psyloche, and dozens more, rounds out the options for players building their 3-character teams.
Limited copies of the games drove the prices of the PS2 version to 80-100 dollars over the past few years.
As the release of the remake nears release, the price for the original game has decreased significantly on eBay and other online vendors. The full version of the game for Xbox 360 will be 1,200 MS points or 15 dollars on the PSN. It's tough to beat 15 dollars.
A solid release date hasn't been established for the PS3 version.
