Yes. Edmonds has banned plastic bags! Seattle, however, as progressive as you may think it is, has not. Voters even opted out of a bag tax. So whats the problem with Seattle? Are we really not as 'green' as we all think we are? Or maybe we just bring our canvas totes to the market and forget to vote when the issue shows up on the ballot. Or maybe a bag tax isn't the way to go. Either way, its high time we ditch the petroleum sacs and join the ranks of San Fransisco, Los Angeles, Encinitas, Mexico City, China, Paris, London, Leaf Rapids, Bakersfield, New Haven, Annapolis, Boston, New York, Phoenix, Portland, Zanzibar and even Edmonds.

What do you say, Seattle?
