Today's Sunday edition of the New York Times Magazine has a special focus about women around the world. Written by Hillary Clinton's (and my) favorite journalistic team Nicholas D. Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn, The Women's Crusade is a poignant, relevant, and timely piece on a pressing issue that frankly--doesn't get much press. Women in the developing world have been marginalized, abused, and exploited for far too long. The Women's Crusade takes a look at current problems with 'gendercide' as well as the small steps we can take to restore dignity to half the worlds population, while building stronger communities and economies.

If you do nothing else on this lazy Sunday, please just have a peak at this article and preview of the forthcoming book, Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide, due out September 8th.
